Candidate Privacy Notice

This notice explains how ABS Talent handles candidate data. It supplements our main Privacy Policy and applies whenever you register your details, send us a CV or interact with us about a role.

CV handling and storage

CVs you provide to us are stored securely on our recruitment systems. Access is restricted to ABS Talent staff working on relevant roles or maintaining the underlying systems.

Recruitment communication

We will contact you about live and future roles where there is a genuine match with your background and stated preferences. You can update your preferences or ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Sharing with clients

We only share your CV and details with a prospective employer where it is appropriate to do so and, where required, with your consent. We never publish candidate information publicly.

Legal basis

  • Consent: when you actively register or send us a CV.
  • Legitimate interest: to maintain a candidate pool and to contact you about relevant opportunities.

Retention

We retain candidate records only for as long as we have a legitimate recruitment reason to do so. Records are reviewed periodically and removed where they are no longer relevant.

Your rights

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Request that inaccurate data is corrected.
  • Request that your record is deleted.
  • Withdraw consent or object to ongoing processing at any time.
